Planning for life after high school is an important step for every student. High school is a time to explore interests, discover strengths, and learn about different college and career options. Students are encouraged to think about their goals and take advantage of opportunities that help them prepare for the future.  Our school counseling department uses Naviance as a tool to help students with this process. 

Whether a student plans to attend college, learn a trade, join the military, or enter the workforce, having a plan can make the transition after graduation easier. Choosing the right classes, getting involved in activities, and exploring career interests can help students make informed decisions about their next steps.

We are committed to helping students and families understand their options and create a plan that supports their goals for success after high school.  College and career visits are scheduled throughout the year, beginning in mid- September and conclude in May.

APSHS also has a College Credit Program, giving students the opportunity to earn dual credit (both high school and college credit simultaneously). These courses save time and money while providing a head start on college-level academics.
